Interior designer salaries in the U.S. rose to $61,000 in 2017, according to a new study from the firm IHS.
The average salary for interior design was $58,000, with an average of $52,000 for a full-time position.
But, the survey showed that the number of full-timers who were paid more than $100,000 also rose.
IHS said the majority of interior designers surveyed reported making less than $40,000 a year.
I think it’s very important to take advantage of all the perks available to you, IHS says.
The median salary for a studio designer in 2017 was $67,000.
A full-timer who had a similar position, in 2018, earned $57,000 per year.
A studio designer with a degree earned about $59,000 annually, according the survey.

The survey also showed that studios are seeing a significant increase in demand for studio designers.
I worked with a lot of designers in my day, and it’s really exciting.

Studios were also the most sought-after jobs in the country, according a survey of 1,000 designers from more than 150 companies, including Zagat and Re/code.
In that same year, the median studio assistant was making about $55,000 and the median full-stack designer was making $66,000 — an increase of about 8% from 2017.
But the survey also revealed that there was a significant drop in the number who said they had a job in a studio.
In 2017, just over half of studio assistants reported being full- or part-time, while fewer than a third said they were full- and part-timing in the same year.
I love what I do, says someone who asked not to be named.
I’ve been at the studio for 10 years, and my clients really want to work there.
But I’ve never been a full time person, so I don’t know how much time I can get.
I like the challenge, but it can be a little frustrating.
I’d like to work for a company that is paying well and has a great culture, but I just don’t have the flexibility to do it.
When you’re working in a small office with a limited amount of staff, it can get overwhelming, says one of the people who answered the survey who asked for anonymity.
I don of course love the work, but if you’re looking for a place to do something, it’s hard to find.
It’s tough to do a good job, says this person.
Some of the respondents were willing to take a pay cut to be more flexible, but some said they would consider making less if they had more freedom to work.
I really like the environment, says Daniel.
I would love to be able to work anywhere, but at the same time, if I was going to do my job and it was a different studio, I’d definitely consider that.
