IKEA’s interior design certification program has taken off, and now more than 1,200 people have already completed the course.
The program, which launched in 2016, is meant to provide certifications for the store’s interior designs, and is also designed to help employees improve their job security.
The certifications help employees learn more about their interior design work and help them prepare for future job interviews.
IKEA says the certifications are the culmination of its mission to “develop a better future for the IKEAs staff, their families and the communities they serve.”
“We are proud to be one of the first in the world to offer our employees the opportunity to get certified to help them meet their needs for a better life,” said IKEa director of design and interior Peter Vesss.
The program has attracted more than 40,000 students.
