University of Sydney, University of Sydney (NSW)The University of New South Wales, known for its renowned architecture, has a reputation for being one of the top design schools in the country.
Its location near Sydney’s CBD and the city’s university campus, coupled with its proximity to the city, make it a very attractive choice for graduates.
Ludlum Bliss, New York City (NY)The world-renowned architecture firm, founded in 1888 by Louis Sullivan and Frank Lloyd Wright, has long been a favorite of interior designers.
Its graduates, who are known for their use of textured materials, often work with clients at high-end homes.
Hans Zimmer, Munich (Germany)The German designer is renowned for his innovative and modern design.
His graduate program at the prestigious design school of Köln is known for working with high-profile clients, including the US President and First Lady.
The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (UK)The Royal Design College, established in 1911, is the oldest design school in the UK and a favourite of interior design students.
It’s also one of England’s oldest colleges.

The College of Architecture, Design and Media, established at the University of London in 1878, is known as the birthplace of the modernist school of interior architecture.
Its design graduates, whose work has been recognised in such prestigious publications as GQ, are highly sought after for their work.
Sophia Colvin, London, UKThe London-based interior design and interior design studio is famous for its extensive portfolio of interior artworks, as well as for its award-winning furniture and home furnishings.
Hazel McClelland, Portland, Oregon (Oregon)The Portland-based studio of designer Hazel McCleelland is renowned as one of Portland’s premier interior designers, whose designs have been featured on the covers of magazines and magazines of the fashion industry.
Its graduate program, which began in 1986, includes students working with clients on the homes of famous fashion houses, including Calvin Klein, H&M and Dolce & Gabbana.
The American Institute of Architects, New Orleans (La.)
A small but growing studio of interior designer, architect and designer Hazel Colvin has a long and distinguished history.
Colvin was the first graduate from the school, in 1967, and is also a current alumni of the school.
She graduated in 2003 with a master’s degree in interior design from New York’s Columbia University.
Kurt Göbel, Berlin (Germany, U-P)Göbel is the current master of the department of design at the university.
He graduated in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree from the German university of Potsdam.
Kamil Pukhov, Sofia, Bulgaria (Slovenia)The Sofia-based design studio of Kamil Pulkova is known more for its furniture and design-oriented interior design work than for its interior design school.
Its students include designers and designers from the likes of Burberry, Gucci, Guillemot, Michael Kors, Stella McCartney, Humbert Humber and Marc Jacobs.
Takashi Murakami, Tokyo, Japan (Japan)Murakami is one of Japan’s most well-known interior designers and is one half of the duo that is renowned among interior designers for his signature style of modern Japanese design.
He’s also a graduate of Tokyo Metropolitan University and the University at Buffalo.
